Jacques Pijnenborg was self-taught and mainly painted the landscape and villages in the Southern Dutch region of Brabant. He was an authorised representative at a bank in Den Bosch, but after his retirement in 1941 he devoted himself entirely to painting. Listed in the Lexicon of Pieter Scheen and the Mak van Waay.
